General Tools MM1E Pin-Type Led Bar Graph Moisture Meter
The General Tools MM1E is ideal for measuring the moisture content of wood and construction materials. It can be used to locate water leaks in roofs, floors and walls, to check for moisture in carpets and sub-flooring, and to make sure that wood and drywall is dry enough to be painted, wallpapered, sealed or treated. The MM1E measures moisture in two ranges (7 percent to 15 percent WME- Wood Moisture Equivalent - and 16 percent to 35 percent WME) on its 10-LED graph display. Pin length is 5 mm. The protective cap doubles as calibration checker.
Features:
- Moisture meter features a 10-LED display for quick and easy viewing; ergonomic size fits in one hand
- Stick the stainless steel pins into the surface of what you are measuring in order to get a read-out of moisture present
- Can be used as a water leak detector after flood damage, or general water damages, determine the moisture content of wood and other building materials, or check water damaged areas to see if moisture is still present
- By checking suspicious water stains with a moisture tester around the house, you can determine whether the area is wet (a perfect breeding ground for mould) or has long since dried
- Ideal for homeowners and contractors to measure moisture content in wood, drywall and subflooring
- Handy woodworking tool to measure the moisture content of wood before buying
