The STIHL electric shredder GHE 250 S is designed for anyone needing to regularly shred bulky or medium-sized branches and hard hedge cuttings. It offers a balanced combination of throughput and mobility. Its sandwich-type blade unit with pre-shredders, shredding blades and reversible cutting blades shreds even slightly thicker branches with a diameter of up to 3.5 cm into fine shredding material. The Multi Cut blade unit is driven by a powerful motor that draws the clippings through the soundproofed feed chute with minimal kickback and noise. This garden shredder can also shred soft green cuttings and foliage. The perfect way to get a nutrient-rich mixture to make your compost. You can tilt the STIHL GHE 250 S in a few motions and conveniently transport it on its wheels to its next place of use.

Soundproofed feed chute

The large feed chute facilitates feeding of the STIHL shredder. The soundproofed feed chute reduces working noise when shredding in the garden. The integrated spray protection provides a shield against swirling dirt.

Safety lock

The electromagnetic safety lock prevents the garden shredder from starting automatically during maintenance operations or when the blade is being changed, for example. The safety switch is integrated in the opening mechanism on the STIHL shredder. As soon as the closure screws on the machine are unscrewed, the safety switch is tripped and the current flow is interrupted.

Touch pad switch

The housing of the STIHL shredder is fitted with a touch pad switch and an operating indicator to allow simple and intuitive operation of the garden shredder.
